Fans of the Cedar Cove series will be delighted that author Debbie Macomber sets this story in the town of Cedar Cove, Washington, with a new cast of characters. Narrator Lorelei King's heartwarming voice is a good match for this romance. The story revolves around young widow Jo Marie Rose and the first two guests to stay at her newly purchased bed-and-breakfast. Each of the three characters has burdens to bear. King seamlessly conveys the thoughts and emotions of the characters as they strive to resolve their issues. Some of King's character voices are a bit forced, but her overall performance complements the sweet story, which promises to continue with Jo Marie's next guests at the B&B.
