Narrator Heather Wilds brings listeners into the magical but strange town of Near, where Lexi has just met a stranger for the first time in her life. Children have been disappearing in the middle of the night, and the residents of Near are quick to place blame on the mysterious boy who has just arrived. Wilds characterizes Lexi as independent and indignant, unafraid of the possible dangers of investigating the town's mystery. Wilds's narration will intrigue listeners as it invites them into an eerie setting filled with witches and magic, and her English accent adds just the right atmosphere.
